Honestly, I think I have gotten better in choosing fabric for my collection since mini collection. Those days, I did not even have a single clue of which fabric and what prints I should use. But this time for my graduation collection, the first consultation with my lecturers made me realise that for once I know what I am doing and what I want in my collection and I am proud of myself that I have learned something through the almost-three-years I have been in Raffles Design Institute.
*Applause to my beloved lecturers whom has educated me to be the fashion designer I am right now*
The last thing we bought was ZIPPERS, and the little things like hook and eye, boning, elastic tape. We even went to a sewing machine shop to get footers and leather thread for my jacket and importantly cheap rulers which costed SGD4. IT COSTS SGD 12 in our school !!!
Zippers were sold at YKK that is on the other side of the fabric area in Sham Shui Po, we went early in the morning so as to not have a crowd inside and they can assist us in an orderly manner. There was everything except zippers that's 24cm and turquoise in colour so I decided to just take the nearest colour possible and if it does not match I am going to find one from Chinatown, Singapore.
