HONG KONG: DILLEMA

Organza

After being the first to consult to both Jay and Joe, I headed out to run the errands of ordering the fabric they have approved. The organza I took which was transparent with embroidered think orange thread was rejected, hence the hunting of organza started.

I was loving this two-toned thin organza from Moon Yue (level 2) but they had no more stock, so I had to run around to find more samples that matches the overall color scheme. Fortunately, on almost the last day of hong kong trip, I went to Wa Fat to accompany my friend and I found a beautiful red-purple two-toned organza, I did not even take another thought and bought the amount I needed for my collection.

Fur

So the first problem with organza was solved. However, I ordered 5 yards of fur from Yu Hing on Tuesday and it got into a big mess throughout the week. Yu Hing called on Wednesday saying that they have no stock for the fur I wanted, so I went back to take my money and searched Sham Shui Po all over again and came to no solution to this problem.

I went back to Yu Hing on the same day, Wednesday, to order another type of fur with similar turquoise colour which they said they have a lot of stock in the factory.

BUT

THE NEXT DAY THEY CALLED and it was not a good call. They had to tell me that the fabric could only reach on Saturday, which is bad. It was the day of my flight ! So I called them back and told them to get the express delivery with extra payment of HKD25 to get the fabric by Friday. I was so relieved when I came back from Disneyland knowing that my fabric has been delivered successfully to the store. It was a ratchet conversation between me with the girl at the shop but it's all worth it.

The rest of the fabric were ordered peacefully and successfully. The rest was bought at the store itself hence there was not any problem occurring during the shopping trip.

I bought trimmings from PITC (as shown on the left photo) for the sleeves and necklines of some of the looks in my collection which costed a bomb. Nagasaki Bomb to be exact.

I also had gotten chains in a gradient colour of green to purple and blue to match with the fabric (as shown on the right photo) I bought from Wa Fat.
